Zombie Apocalypse CONTEST!! (Eva Zerega)

Recently, I had to write a short little response to the question of what I would do in the zombie apocalypse if I was trapped in my high school, where would I hide and what five items would I bring? This was my response:

I frantically pound on the door of room 150, Mr. Fritch’s first-period math class, as a swarm of zombies clobber down the hallway, groaning. Locked, ugh, I did NOT have time for this! I fished the master keyring out of my pocket that I had nicked from the janitor's closet earlier, Click, I fell into the room with a thud I hurriedly locked the door behind me and got to work creating a barricade, piling desks, and chairs up against the door. I swiftly pulled down the shades of the windows that looked out to Brien Mcmahon High School’s courtyard. After finding the key to the supply closet located in the back of the room, I hunkered down, hoping the horde would pass by with little fuss. As quietly as possible, I slipped off my backpack and took out the few items that remained. The master key ring, the samurai sword I had snatched from the Japanese classroom, a box of granola bars, a bottle of water I had scrounged up in the cafeteria, and the 200 feet of rope found in the athletic director’s office. From my time spent watching The Walking Dead, I knew that the scent of zombies would help disguise my own scent. In a fit of panic, I had grabbed the rope, ready, if it came down to it, to harness the undead, in order to protect myself.

To be honest, I loved this question, it took me all of five minutes to write my response. It seemed as if this question was written specifically for me. I love the idea of the zombie apocalypse or even just the apocalypse, anything to do with surviving. But it ends there, I would not want to experience the apocalypse, I simply enjoy watching the movies or reading the books, so here is a list of some of my favorite apocalyptic books and movies.

Zombie Related Movies:

-World War Z

-Zombie Land 1 and 2

Leave a comment down below and whoever has the most exciting and creative response will win! The winner will be announced after one week and will be rewarded with a zombie-like surprise!

If I were trapped inside of the high school, I would hide inside of a gym locker. I'm tiny, plus there are so many the zombies would never find me because they would get shot before they were able to get to me. Plus a locker has a lock, so they would have to guess the password, which would take a while. I would bring my computer, to watch Netflix and Hulu, as well as my AirPods so that they wouldn't hear me watching my shows. I would also bring a sleeve of bagels and cream cheese, as well as my phone to call 911.
